Beautiful black silk velvet fabric fully lined opera coat from the late 20s or early 30s. Coat found me through the original family member from a suburb near Buffalo, NY. Hall's was a formal shopping experience of that time situated near the Erie Canal in downtown Lockport. The art deco style is prominent with ruched insets at sleeve as well as rounded collar area. Tie collar closure, bishop sleeves and fabric covered loop closures at neck and waist. Interior lining is in excellent condition. No pockets, interior tie.
